I guess it makes sense that one of the world’s largest carriers gets this incredible device first. As far as US compatability with an “unlocked” version of this device, that remains to be seen. Vodafone is said to use 3 different 3G bands across their service area. Let’s hope the 850/1900/2100 flavor goes their way….

For those of you who haven’t heard, the much publicized Palm Pre is going to be eventually released on GSM networks.
The problem with getting this information without knowing the final specs… What bands is the GSM Pre going to be when it’s released in Europe. Word on the street is that the GSM Pre will be released the same time the CDMA Sprint Pre is released for us Americanos… So here’s the issue I find myself as well as many of you probably feel the same, “wait for the Pre and risk 3G incompatability, or buy some other cool gadget to appease your healthy addiction…”
I’m baffled… Anyone have a tip on what an either unlocked or unlockable GSM pre’s bands will be, shoot a comment my way. Til then… -TCS
Now a lot of people out there are probably in search of decent protection for their investment without taking them even further into the poor house. Have no fear, I’ve compelled a list of a few of the most quality cell phone cases right here.
For those fans of tricking out their phone like they trick out their Escalade, I’ve come across a few pretty usuable themes. The problem with the default themes is that text while in text messaging, or in email, doesn’t have a good contrast with the underlying background of the theme.
To test this, try opening an email with the grey or the dark themes that come preloaded. What you’ll notice is somewhat hard to read email… Try these on for size and still be able to be professional and productive.
Krusell was nice enough to send a few cases to me for the E71, so I’ll have a review with pictures as soon as I get them. Thanks to Bandez for the themes.
So I emailed the leader in customized cases (for most high end gadgets), Vaja, to find out their plans for releasing a case for several high end devices, and to my dismay, I received the following….
Hi,
At present that model is not in our immediate manufacturing plans.
Anyway, thank you very much for your interest in our cases
Best regards,

Anyways, it’s just a little frustrating that these phone manufacturers don’t want to capitalize on the accessory market. There’s pretty much a 1000% markup on these things and still, they want these second rate knock-offs to make things which make you look like some kinda wanna be cop…
So please, get on your forums and get people on board to help some of these third world countries come up with some quality accessories. I’m sure if you’re reading this, you’re probably just as pissed as I am about some power seller from ebay selling you some phony car charger or cheap ass holster… Let’s not let it happen to anyone else!
With the much anticipated release of the behemoth N96 flagship phone it’s easy to lose sight of some very newsworthy symbian classics being updated. I recently got my hands on an E71-2 and I must say, this phone is sexy.
The responsiveness is incredible, and overall, I have to say it’s probably one of the best phones I’ve ever used. Major improvement in the E series overall, and the size makes it really one of the smallest qwerty phones out there. One thing I might add, this phone will take some time to get used to with the size of the keypad. If you’re coming from a Q9H like I am, you won’t be able to blaze through those emails like the yuppie from hell, at least not at first.
I’d also like to respond to some blogs writing about the reception of this incredible device. The antenna is situated on the bottom of the phone. Holding the phone like this should make your conversations much clearer and keep you on the 3G straight and narrow.
